This series is inspired by the long tradition of artists who create images with their loved ones as the central subject. Through the exploration of the human form, I aim to construct an intimate portrait. I’ve used both light and depth of field to create an atmosphere that departs from the classical depiction of the male nude and embraces a more contemporary honesty.

As this project evolved, the complexity of the intimate relationship between artist and subject became central to my emotional involvement in the series. With each roll of film, I explored the vulnerability, confidence, and trust of my subject in me as both a photographer and a lover. What began as a study of the male figure became a much deeper exploration of our relationship. The resulting images are glimpses into the quiet hours we spent photographing this series and growing as a pair.
